Camino Portugues (Coastal)

October 2018

This  was my “Spiritual Camino” walk.  I took a group and my co-leader was world renowned psychic and medium, Katy-k.  We were a group of 8 interesting characters. Walking at different paces, we met up at cafes or our accommodation at the end of the day, and Katy gave us mini readings etc along the way.  It was great fun.

The walk itself is absolutely stunning.  It starts on a long boardwalk, so it is an easy stroll at first.  There is a little road walking but many more forests and soft paths than the Central Camino.  It was hot but a lot of the time, there was a sea breeze. It is a little hilly in parts but I think it is the flattest Camino that I have done.  We went inland at Redondela to join the Central Camino to walk to Santiago. We also had the opportunity to soak our feet in the thermal springs at Caldas de Reis, and we had a really special stay in a Casa Rural in Padron with momma cooking us an incredible meal!

I highly recommend this Coastal.  It is beautiful and walking by the sea was lovely and there were quite a few forests providing shade.
